We are not alone. The Lord our God is with us. Fear not.

The world is in an uproar because of the tragedy in Paris.  It is a tragedy, and during these times we need to remember that we have a God who s faithful and who loves us.  He is never far away.  We are cradled in His arms.  I thought I would copy and print a psalm to remind us and to comfort us.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
    will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
    my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you
    from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
    his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
    nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
    nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
    ten thousand at your right hand,
    but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
    and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
    and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
    no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
    you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

    I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

    I will be with him in trouble,
    I will deliver him and honor him.

    and show him my salvation.”

We are children of the Most High God

Present yourselves as children of light in the presence of the Lord.   Give Him praises because He is the King of kings and the Lord of Lords.  There is no one greater than He, not in heaven, not on the earth,  not beneath the earth.  Great is the Lord who is the first and the last,  the alpha and the Omega , the beginning and the end of everything. He is our God, our help and our redeemer.  He guides us onto right paths and leads us away from danger.   He provides us with our needs and he never leaves us alone.  Great is the Lord!  We sing hallelujah all the day! Our redeemer lives.  He blesses and keeps us.  Our lives belong to Him. 🙌. Thank you Lord for all you do.  Thank you for your grace and mercy. We give you praise Oh God in Jesus name. Amen

Lord when I'm in despair

Sometimes the way of the world brings me to despair.  The murder, the theft, the lies and the grasping for power that is undeserved is almost unbearable.  It's all I hear on the news.  It's all I hear people discuss.  At work I try not to fall into the gossip.  I find myself compromising on your word and your will just simply to avoid the conflict.  Sometimes it brings me to despair.  The children don't like each other because of differences in taste, or because of clothing, or the color of their skin, or the texture of their hair.  People want to hurt each other's feelings on purpose.  We compromise or dispose of our morals and standards.  Are we becoming more pleasers of man than pleasers of God?  Am I? We are afraid to share the ways of the Lord.  I see terrorists on television hoping to instill fear in the hearts of every man.  They are trying to control our thoughts, our movements, our way of life.  Sometimes it brings me to the point of despair.

And then I remember...

There is a way to peace.  A peace that passes all understanding.  There is a river called joy. There is a place for me where ever I am because Jesus is my Lord and savior.
I suddenly remember  that one person praying can send a thousand demons to flight and two can send ten thousand running.  I remember that a thousand can fall at my right side and 10 thousand can fall at my right hand but none shall come near me.  Psalm 91:7)   I remember that "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord will deliver them from them all." Psalm 34:9)  I read, "The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and he knows those who trust in Him."  Nahum 1:7)
"We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9)
I remembered that I am not alone.  We are not alone.  We serve a God who lives.  He loves us and forgives us when we stumble and fall.  He guides us away from sin and into his grace. We serve a living God who wants the best for us.  We are always under His watchful eye.  It doesn't matter what the world wants to do.  It doesn't matter what the devil sends our way.  God is in control.  He doesn't control us, He wants us to choose well and to follow his word, but when we don't, he's there to guide us back to the right way.  His hand is over us to protect us.  His love is around us to lift us.  There is no such thing as despair in the kingdom of God.  We're ok.  One day we will see Him.  We will sing his praise right in front of Him.  Everything will make sense, and it will be worth it all.  God is good.  We are His children and the sheep of His pasture.  Today we praise Him no matter what we are going through, no matter what we see, no matter what we hear.  We don't belong here anyway, we're just passing through .  In my father's house there are many mansions and Jesus went to prepare one just for me and for you.  We'll follow Jesus.  It will be worth every step and every lesson.  Our joy will be fulfilled.  We are victorious right now because we always triumph in Christ.  He told us not to worry about anything, but with prayer, thanksgiving and asking, to let him know what we want.  He's awesome.  I'm filled with joy everyday, every minute, every time I think of Him.  We rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS!

Be Anxious For Nothing - Even During the Hoiday Season

Matthew 6:31-33

"Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

We are entering the holiday season and as we get ready to gather together and to spend joyfully remember that our God is Jehovah Jireh -The God who provides.  All we have to do is serve Him first by seeking Him first.  We remember Him in our prayers and in our thoughts.  We make sure that we are following His lead and His Word.  Every season I am amazed at how God blesses us.  He does it all year through.  I was at the grocery store in line last month and I was behind an older woman who was trying to buy food.  She had only the necessities and was counting very carefully.  When the cashier rang her up, the woman looked up at her and began counting again.  She pushed her rice to the side and started separating her vegetables and meats.  She didn't have enough money to pay.  I looked at her and thought about my mom and my aunt.  I gave the cashier the money to pay for her food and I stepped out of line.  It was all I had for that moment, but I knew that I would get paid again soon, and I had what I needed at home.  I left the grocery store to go to my bible study.  After class, the ladies of the class surprised me with a few birthday gifts.  They're so sweet.  I hugged them and thanked them and as I was leaving I opened a card that was in my hand.  Inside it was money.  It was just enough.  I turned to tell her that she didn't have to give me anything like that and what if she needed it?  She waved me off gave me a hug and said good night.  I got into my car with more cash than I had started out with that evening.  The lady in my bible study didn't know anything about my evening, and I didn't tell her until a month later.  God knew and He is Jehovah Jireh - The God who provides.  How He continues to amaze me.  Our bible tells us not to worry about anything, but just ask, thank Him in advance and trust in God.  He always comes through.  He does it in His own way and I'm so thankful.  God is good - All the time.

Heavenly Father,  we thank you for all that you do.  We thank you that you care about us like a father and that you really do take care of our needs.  We put our lives and our trust in you Oh God.  We know that if we ask, we shall receive and that if we put our faith in you and follow your precepts, we won't be alone and we won't be hungry.  We give you our praises and we bless your holy name.  There is none like you.  No one in heaven and no one on earth.  May we continue to follow you and to walk according to your word.  Help our faith to grow more and more everyday until we finally come home to you.  In Jesus name we pray.  Amen 

Lord We Love to be in Your Presence

We reach our hands up to you Oh Lord our God.  We know we can trust in You.  When things in the world are going crazy and it looks like evil is winning, we know that You are there to comfort and to carry us.  We can't get weary in doing well.  We must keep our eyes on You and pay attention to Your word.  There is nothing more powerful than the love you have for us.  Your love has overturned our enemies, cancelled our curses, healed our bodies and eased our minds.  You have given us victory over addictions and over worldly things that would hold us back.  You have delivered us from false accusations that have been made against us.  Your love has lifted us when the world brought us low.  It sent Your only son Jesus Christ to the cross so that we could be with him in paradise.  There is nothing and no one like our God.  This morning we give you praise O God.  You are the author and finisher of our faith.  You are the hope of all our tomorrows.  You are all we need.  We love you Lord.

As we pour out our hearts to You, we realize that we have lost ourselves in You .  We are in a place where the breeze is always perfect, not too hot, not too cold.  The sunshine is glorious here.  It is as bright as the noon day sun.  There are gentle raindrops that are so refreshing, but not at all uncomfortable.  They touch our faces and are absorbed immediately, they are much like a kiss.  We are in your presence Father God.  Here we have such peace.  Joy fills our hearts in an incredible way. There is no one like you.  There is no place we would rather be than in your presence.  We stand here with our arms reaching up and with our hands open welcoming your love and grace.  Here we feel the kiss of your presence and the hope of eternal life with you.  There is no one like you mighty God.  Be our guide and help us through this perilous way without fear, and with rejoicing because we walk with you.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Even when I'm tired Lord, I give you praise

Father I thank you for enabling me to do the things that I did today which made me tired.  I thank you that I was able to wash my clothes and to cook my meals.  I thank you that I had the strength and ability to clean my home and I thank you for my home.  Thank you Lord that I could run my errands and get them all done.  Thank you for the children and grandchildren that I am able to care for.  Thank you for giving me the strength to go to work and to get things done.  I may not have finished, but I can go back tomorrow.  I thank you for the lights that I am able to turn on so that I can read and see and iron my clothes.  I thank you that I can turn on a little heat to knock the chill off of the room.
     Today I saw a person who had no legs moving down the street in a wheelchair and I had to thank you Lord that I was able to walk my dog.  I thank you that I was able to walk around the block with my grandchild.  I know of some people my age who have no little ones to brighten their day.  I thank you Lord for mine.  Their smiles brighten my life.  One of the things that I was able to do today was to sit on the floor and play with them.  Then I was also able to get back up.  Lord I did so many things today, all of them were of my choosing.  Instead of complaining that I have so much to do I'd like to thank you for giving me the strength and energy to do those things.  They are a part of life...at least a part of my life.  I thank you that when evening came I could sit in a chair and reflect on the day. I try not to take anything for granted.   I raised my hands in worship and praise to you oh God.  You are worthy Lord of all the glory.  You are everything to me.  I began my day and ended my day with you.  All of the things that came in the middle were because of you.  Thank you Lord.  You truly are the King of kings and the Lord of lords.  You are my sanctuary and my peace.  Even when I'm tired Lord, I give you praise.

Before We Knew to Call Your Name

Heavenly Father before we even knew to call your name, you loved and cared for us.  Before we knew that our cries were heard by you, Oh God, You reached out your hand to comfort us.  After we learned to call your name we could only rejoice to know that we were never alone and will never be alone.  We raise our hands in praise.  We give our thanks for your awesome presence.  We worship you God of all.  You are so truly worthy Lord God.  You loved us so much that you sent your only begotten son so that we could return to you and so that we could dwell with you in eternity.  You are everything Oh God.  You are alpha and Omega. You are the beginning and the end.  We offer you all that we are Father, we offer you all that we have.  You are our first true love.
     Like a baby you held us in your arms of love.  Like a baby who doesn't know to call it's mother or father's name we sat waiting not knowing about the blessings and the hope that awaited us.  But a parent knows what a baby needs and instinctively moves to take care of those needs.  You, oh Father, know our needs and you know the plans you have for us and that's why we call you Jehovah Jireh - the God who is our provider.  The love of a parent for a child is beyond explanation.  Your love for us is unexplainable and beyond our comprehension.  Every time we call your name you answer.  We just know that you love us and when we feel your presence we feel unconditional love, endless hope, comfort that only you can give and confidence to stand.  It is like standing in the warm sun and being swayed by a gentle breeze.  You are the one and only true God.   We loved you after we came to know you, but you loved us before we knew to call your name. Thank you Father.  In Jesus name.

Bless our country Lord

Dear Father,
     We thank you for allowing us to live in a land where we can be free.  We thank you that we can start our own businesses, that we can go to school where ever we choose, and that we can go to see a doctor when we need to.  We thank you that we can travel all over our country without barriers, or special papers.  Father, it is your blessing that allows us to see beautiful mountains, and far reaching grasslands.  We even have deserts and forests to choose to enjoy.  You gave us land rich in nutrients that can be worked for food to feed not only us, but also people all around the world.  The trees that we sometimes use so carelessly give us oxygen and provide homes for small creatures that are a part of our ecosystem.  We may take them for granted, but we know that they are truly a blessing.  We thank you that we can live anywhere in this country that we choose dear Lord.  We thank you for the variety of climates and landforms and that we can enjoy beaches and oceans without fear.  You have truly blessed us Lord with this country and we thank you for it.  May we forever stay under your banner and remember that our blessings come from you and not from ourselves.  Help us to be thankful and to be joyful because you have loved us this way.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Take Care of My Son Dear God

Heavenly Father I love my son.  He is the apple of my eye.  He's not perfect, Lord, but he's my boy.  I thank you for his smile and for his laughter.  I thank you for the twinkle in his eye that comes when he's about to do something he shouldn't do, but he will do because he loves the reaction.  I love the way he takes time to eat with me or just to have a cup of tea with me.  I thank you for his compassion and for his trust in You.  Please keep your arms around him as he serves our country.  Help him to stand strong.  Keep him focused and full of energy.  Cause him to have favor in the eyes of his superiors and in the hearts of those with whom he works and serves.  Bring  the right girl into his life and please make sure she is of your choosing.  Please bless him with peace and joy.  Help him to take on leadership roles with humility and with dignity.  Keep him safe, oh Lord and watch over him all the time.  Thank you for helping him to continue to grow up in a way that is pleasing to You.  Remind him dear Lord that he is yours and that means something.  Let him know that you are with him and that you won't leave him.  Please fill him with hope and remind him that he might be far from my eyes, but he's never far from my heart.  In Jesus name.  Amen.

Lord keep our servicemen and women safe

Heavenly Father, please watch over all of our servicemen and women.  Lord they go forth to stand in front  of all of us in order to protect us and to keep us safe from outside danger.  They give up the chance to live the lives that we all get to choose.  They spend all their time in preparation to go out and do battle so that we can live in a free society.  Lord bless them as they go about their duties each day.  I thank you that they all belong to someone who needs and misses them.  They are fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, husbands and wives, nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.  Help them to know that you are with them.  Make yourself real in their lives Lord and help them to remember that there are people who love them and who are praying for them.  Keep them safe from hurt, harm danger, death and disease.  In this world of technology, we shouldn't have to lose any of our sons and daughters to enemies who are driven by ungodly motives.  Give them peace as they go through their routines each day and let them have sound minds even when they are under stress.  Help them to have steady hands to do their work and hearts full of courage and faith to help them stand.   May they all find joy in something each day, and may that joy carry them through to the next day.  Help them to live with no regrets and give them the ability to build strong happy families.  We thank you Lord for their lives, and for their choice to serve in this way.  May they walk with you, know you, trust you, and love you so that their joy might be made full and complete and so that their eternity will be sure.  In Jesus name we pray .  Amen.

Lord Let Me be Like the Bumble Bee

Lord let me be like the bumble bee, so totally unaware that he's not supposed to be able to fly that he just does.  no one told him that his body wasn't aero-dynamic, so he just lifts himself off the ground.  No one told him that his wings weren't made to support him and carry him through the air, so he just goes about his business flying from one place to the other.  Whether or not he looks awkward to the other flying creatures, he just flies.  He does it because You told him to.

Lord let me be like the bumble bee, not caring what others might think about me.  Help me to ignore doubt and wasteful words that might be spoken in my direction.  Cover my ears so that hurtful words won't enter my thought realm.  Guide my eyes so that I won't see all the pointing and side glances of doubters and those who walk in darkness.  Lead me so that I won't be moved by the wrong influences.  Be a light to my path so that I won't stumble and fall.
     I may not look like I'm supposed to do all that you have put in my hands to do, but like the bumble bee, I'm going to do it anyway.  Some may say that I don't sound like the orator they think I should be, but you created me and gave me the words to speak, so like the bumble bee, I'm going to ignore them and I'm going to speak anyway.  I may not have come from the kind of family that people  think would produce a leader, but "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".   I may not have all the credentials that some others have, but I have the seal of Christ.  I may not have attempted this new thing before, but I have the faith of a mustard seed.  Lord help me be like the bumble bee lift me above all the doubt and negativity.  I thank you that all the eagles and hawks will look up and see ...me being all that you created me to be.  In Jesus name.  Amen.

Don't Wait till the Battle's Over SHOUT NOW!!

There is a story in the old Testament that tells us about a time when the Lord sent the praisers out to a battle in front of the soldiers.  Well, by the time the praisers got to the camp with the soldiers, all the enemy soldiers had either run away or they had killed each other.  If you are having a hard time right now, it means that the enemy has plans for you.  He's a defeated foe.  We were given authority to trample him and his power.  (Luke 10:17) Let's begin to sing praises to God who fights our battles!
We have to begin by being thankful even when we don't feel like it.  We have to push the negative feelings away and confess with our mouths that we are grateful for what we do have.  We are thankful for the basics.  We are rejoicing that he loves and forgives us.

Heavenly Father, we thank you so much that we were able to wake up this morning.  We thank you for a place to lay our heads at night.  We rejoice that we can put food in our bodies and that we have a way to get around from place to place even if it's an old bicycle.  We thank you for food to eat and water to drink.  We thank you for lights to see and for heat to stay warm.  We thank you for clothes to wear when the weather is hot outside and for coats to wear when it's cold.  Thank you Lord for friends and family who stick by us. Thank you for the ability to read because without it, we couldn't read your word.  Thank you for the promises that you put in your word and for the hope that you put in our hearts.  We give you praises for the job that we have and for the help that we get when we need it.  We are thankful for the little things and thankful for the big ones, too.  We know that the plans you have for us are to prosper and not to be harmed.  They are for a hope and a future.  We know because Your word tells us that in the book of Jeremiah 29:11.  Help us Lord to walk forward in faith and to be an example to others that we serve a mighty and an awesome God.  We serve a God who is real and who cares for us.  We are thankful that you chose to reveal yourself to us.  Thank you Lord.  In Jesus name.  Amen.

Oh How I love You

Heavenly Father, I love you.  There are no words to describe how I love you.  There are not enough examples to show your goodness.  There was the time you miraculously healed my daughter,  the numerous times that You allowed me to find favor with my bosses at work, such total love from you.  The answer to so many of my prayers showed me that you listen and hear me when I pray.  The times when I let you down, you just picked me up.  Every time I think of the tears I shed, I see how you dried my eyes and blessed me anyhow.  You have kept me healthy.  You helped me to get educated.  You gave me a wonderful husband and 4 beautiful children.  Every time I look at my pups, tears come to my eyes.  I still remember when I had saved what was to me so much money then, to buy one, only to discover that I still couldn't afford one.  Anyway, I didn't realize how little time I would have for it because I was about to have my second of four children.  I enjoyed every moment of time with them and I wouldn't have traded that time for anything.  After my children had gotten older and I had more time. My children actually purchased the kind of puppy for me that I had wanted oh so many years ago.  It was a wonderful Christmas surprise.  I squealed and laughed and cried as I held it in my arms.  You had come through again.  You used my children to bless me.  You never forgot.  Now I have more of that breed of dog than I imagined I would ever have.
       I remember writing down the kind of home I wanted to have one day, and I folded it and put it in my bible.  A few years passed and I forgot about it.  We moved to another state because of my husband's job and You led me to our home.  The realtor led my husband and I around the property and at the end of the tour we walked into the back yard.  I suddenly remembered that I had asked you for two fruit trees in the back yard.  There they were! Two fruit trees stood in the back yard.  It was EXACTLY the home I had asked you for years ago.  It was in our new home state.  You remembered!  As we unpacked, I opened a box, and there was my bible.  I opened it and right in the middle was the letter I had written to you a few years ago.  The house fit the letter to a T.  I owe you everything.  I owe you my life.  I would give it to you willingly if you had never done a thing.  You are my God.  You are real.  Your love for me is greater than any I have ever known.  Thank you God.  Oh How I Love YOU!

pray for Mexico

Heavenly Father, please keep the people of Mexico tucked under the shade and protection of your righteous right arm.  Cover them Oh Lord as the storm pushes through.  Keep the children safe.  Make the feeble minded to be in a safe area.  Give wisdom and knowledge to those who are trying to decide what to do.  Then Oh Lord, give us compassion and love, mercy and a generous heart that we might all rush to help in any way that we can.  Thank you Lord for being with those who are in trouble.  Grant them your peace.  In Jesus name we pray.  Amen.

Rescue Me

Lord you came to my rescue before I knew I would need it.  I didn't know that I would make the wrong decision and I didn't know that I would turn the wrong corner.  You were always watching.  You had your eye on me all the time.  Even though You knew I was going the wrong way you were there to rescue me.  Even though you had told me what to do and you knew that I was going to make the wrong decision, you were ready to catch me before I fell.  You are my hero, my God and my king.   Your mercy is great and your love is greater than anything on earth.  Your grace is all inspiring and I need you in my life.  Thank you God for being there to catch me even when I tripped because I wasn't listening.  I am sometimes so stubborn and so determined to do things my own way that I forget to listen.  I forget that you already know the beginning and the ending.  You are wisdom and you are love.
     Help me to stand Oh God.  Help me to believe.  Help me to have the faith that I need in order to trust and obey your will and follow your way.  Your word says that you are always at work to make your children both willing and able  to do what you have told us to do.  I submit and surrender, Lord.  Help me to be the person you created me to be.  Help me to do the things that you designed me to do.  Then I won't be so easily tricked.  I won't go in the wrong direction.  Then I won't crash because I wasn't looking.  Then I won't meet the wrong person because I made the wrong decision.  Rescue me from myself my savior and my God.  you are the only one who can.  I love you.  I surrender.  I thank you for salvation.  I thank you for grace and mercy.  I thank you for rescuing me.  

Jehovah Rapha - The God who Heals and Restores

We Praise you oh Lord Jehovah Rapha, we give thanks for you.  When we were  weak, you made us strong.  When we were low, you lifted us high.  When we were afraid, You comforted us.  You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals and restores.  I have been blessed to see many healings Lord.  You have had compassion and mercy on so many.  We can't determine why some are healed and some are not, but we do know that you are omnipotent.  Your decisions are good and they are final.  You know all things and our hope is in you.  We all ask that you would, in your compassion, heal those of us who find that we are not in the best health.  Teach us how to care for our bodies so that they will be strong, healthy temples of the Holy Spirit that you would be proud of.  Teach us how to eat, and how to work, and how to breathe, and how to move so that we keep our temples fit for you.  You promised us, oh God that if we obeyed your word, you would put none of the diseases on us that you put on the Egyptians.  When you walked the earth, Lord Jesus, you healed all who would be healed.  You can do it,  and I believe you will.  I know that we need to have faith to be healed.  May our faith be strong and consistent.  May the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable to you Oh Lord.  The prophet Isaiah told us that by your stripes we are already healed.  Matthew tells us that you bore all our disease and carried off our infirmities.  We know that you desire us to be well.  Help us to believe so that we might be healed like the woman with the issue of blood, like Peter's mother with fever, like the servant of the sergeant who had such great faith, like the lepers and the blind man.  I know You can heal, Lord, I've been witness to your divine healing.  I ask for healing now for all of your children who read this prayer and who are in need of healing and prayer.  Thank you Lord for hearing me.  Thank you Lord for healing your people.  In Jesus name. Amen.  

Every Time I Feel Your Spirit

The older generations would sing a song about feeling your spirit Lord.  They would rejoice in knowing that you were with them.  They would say that no matter where they were, they knew you were there.  When ever they felt your spirit, they were moved to praise your name and to pray.  They knew that when they prayed, You would answer.  They knew that you heard their prayers.  They were sure that they were not alone.  We are a new generation, Lord, and we have our own songs.  We know that you are here with us, and we know that when we pray you hear our prayers.  The world we live in is different from the world 50-100 years ago, but our need for you is the same as theirs.  Our love for you is the same as theirs.  Our songs are different, but they come from our hearts.  You are our alpha and our omega, the beginning and the end.  You are He who was, who is, and who ever shall be.  You were here for our ancestors and you are here for us.  You will be here for our children and for our children's children.  There is none like you.  We love you Lord, and we praise your name.  Every Time We Feel Your Spirit, Lord, we will praise your name and we will pray.  We will believe and we will hope.  We hold on to our salvation and we look to you for guidance.  Thank you Lord that you will never leave us.  Thank you love for your steadfast love.

Walking With You in the realm of the Miraculous

Lord I thank you that I can walk with you today.  I know that I am safe when I walk with you.  I hear you when you tell me to turn left instead of turning right.  I listen when you warn me to be silent and hold my tongue.  I know that you have my best interest at heart and I know that the plans you have for me are to prosper me and not to harm me.  I know that your plans for me are to give me hope and a future.  I thank you that you walk before me and that you allow me to walk with you.  I know that when I walk with you I can expect supernatural intervention.  I know that there are miracles around every corner.  Sometimes the miracles that I run in to are the people whom you have healed.  Praise Your name!  Sometimes the miracles I meet are those you have saved from a serious accident or a dangerous fire.  We glorify you, oh God! There are times, O God, when I stand right in front of a miracle that only You could have produced.  I love to walk with you in the morning.  I rejoice when I get to walk with You through the day.  I need to walk with you in the evening.  I lift my hands in praise and I marvel at the wonders that you have created.  I am excited about the situations that you have designed for my good and for the people whom you have placed in my path.  I know that they are not "meetings by chance".  They are "Meetings By Miracles'.  They are appointments that you have arranged long before I arrived at that spot.  I thank you for all the people that You kept out of harm's way today.  Help more people to come to know you and to trust you so that they, too, can Walk with You in the Realm of the Miraculous.  In Jesus name I pray. let everything that has breath....

Oh Lord our God, How awesome is your name.  We love to sing your name and to give you praise!  you are worthy Lord of all our praise.  The angels in heaven praise your name.  They give you honor and blessing.  We won't be left out Oh Lord our God.  We also kneel at your feet and honor your name.  We give you praise all day long.  The rocks won't have to cry out for us.  We continually sing your praise.  In the morning when we rise we hear the birds singing your praise because they know their creator.  The tree branches gently bow down to glorify your name.  The dolphins and whales and seals leap from the ocean to to give you honor.  The bees give thanks as they hover over the flowers that you have provided them.  Everything that has breath gives you praise oh God.  Everything that has breath is your creation.  Everything that has breath acknowledges your greatness and your power - for without it, we would all cease to exist.  Thank you Lord for all that you do.  Thank you for loving us enough to forgive, and to encourage, and to fill us again with hope for tomorrow. Father we praise you.  You are worthy to be praised.  In Jesus name.  Amen.

I want to walk worthy

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty and miraculous name of Jesus, the Christ.  We give you thanks heavenly Father for all that you do for us each day.  We don't take for granted the fact that some people didn't have the opportunity to wake up this morning.   We don't take for granted the fact that we have clothing to wear and that we had something to put into our stomachs this morning.  We are so thankful that from the beginning you raised us up and filled us with hope and with joyful singing.  let us join the angels who give you praise this morning!  Lord there are so many things that you have done for us.  Some of them are big things and some of them are small. We thank you God for them all.  Help us to walk worthy of your love, oh God.  Help us to use words of praise instead of words of hate.  Help us to praise instead of gossip.  We set aside a compromising spirit and we stand for you alone.  Help us step over the line of compromise and not stand on it.  We will not stand for the world Lord God.  We will stand for your Word.  We want to walk worthy of your love, worthy of your gifts, worthy of your grace and mercy, worthy oh Lord of your sacrifice.  Your death was not in vain.  Our salvation is secure.  Help us to walk worthy Oh Lord of you.

You are our Forever and Forever

Blessed be the name of the Lord, both now and forever more.  We praise you oh Lord our God and we lift you up.  You are our almighty.  You are forever and forever.  Father you know our beginnings and our endings.  Why then do we worry about little things?  We thank you that you have made yourself available to us so that all we have to do is call your name.  You always hear us and you always answer us.  Sometimes it feels as though you are gone because the stillness is so quiet, but it is there where you dwell, just watching us the way any parent would watch a child as they play, or think, and grow.  Your eyes are always on us and you are always there to cheer us on.  Father without you we who are so small would be even less, and we would be  even more lost.  It is because you are here, because you never sleep nor slumber, that we are able to function at all.  We bless you name oh Lord our God.  We give you praise continually.  We offer our thanks because you are always with us; because you are so patient; because you are so loving; because you are so forgiving; but most of all because you are you.  All praise be to our God and king.

Blessed Lamb

Blessed lamb, we come before you in your name, the blessed name of Jesus.  We thank you so much for your love, mercy and grace.  We magnify your name.  Lord we thank you for all that you do and for moving us in your power and in your love and wisdom.  We thank you for extended life.  Lord we all believe in you and we know that you are able to do all things.  We glorify you because you are worthy to be praised.  There is no other name in heaven or on earth or under the earth that is equal to yours.  Jesus our Lord, Jesus our savior, Jesus our miracle worker, Jesus our friend and our master.  We love you Lord.  Thank you for all you do and for all you have done.  Thank you for forgiving us and for giving us another chance.  Continue to help us to be pleasing in your sight.  Revive our souls and take control of our lives so that we might shine like the stars at night.  We thank you for the Holy Spirit working in our lives.  We thank you for your work in our lives.  You have brought us to this place in our time.  Thank you Lord.  Thank you for healing, for help, for touching us, for giving us peace and for giving us your spirit.  Let us walk with you in the morning and all through the day.  May we taste the dew of your word and be refreshed even as the grass and the flowers taste your blessing in the morning.  May we be as fruit on your tree.  In Jesus holy name.

SOMETIMES WE NEED HELP

Father in heaven,
sometimes we need help.  We try to do what we feel is right and everything falls apart.  We find ourselves in uncomfortable situations that are of our own making.  Suddenly we discover that things didn't work out the way we thought they should.  We need you.  We need you every hour.  We need to listen.  We forget to do that sometimes.  We need to follow your Word.  We forget to do that sometimes.  We get too excited and run on ahead of your plan.  We forget to wait.  Now we are turning around to look for you and we are thankful that you are always there.  You are smiling and waiting for us to turn around.  We are your children and you are our God.  What a blessing it is to know that you are always there for us.  What a wonderful God you are!  How loving and how kind.  In you, oh God, we find peace.  In you Father God we find love.  In You oh God we find joy.  You are our help in trouble and our answer to every prayer.  We love you oh Lord our God.  We thank you for being who you are oh God.  We need you.  We bless your name oh God.  You are our alpha and our Omega, our beginning and our end.  All things come from you oh God and for that we are truly grateful; and for that we bless your name.  You are everything that we need.  Amen.

Lord we woke up this morning and we noticed that the sun rose in the sky and began to shine

The trees were already bowing to acknowledge your presence as the gentle breeze encouraged them.
We sit up in our beds or where ever we had fallen asleep and we take for granted the fact that our spirit, mind and body are still functioning.
We have something to look forward to as we rise

Blessing and honor, glory and power to you almighty God.  Father we thank you for yet another day.  This is another time of refreshing, another opportunity to do something good.  We thank you that the sun chose to rise again and that the earth still spins.  We thank you O God for your mercies which are new every morning.  Please renew our minds today Lord God and help us to see with new eyes.  May our hearts search for you and find you this morning.  Oh Lord, we give you praise!  Blessings begin to fall when we praise you. Hope comes alive when we praise you.  Possibilities show themselves and  doors open when we praise you!  You make our enemies to be at peace with us or you move them far from us.  For this O God, we give you praise! I hear you calling out to me as I sit lost in sin.
I saw your hands of love stretched out to me and I looked up and said, "I'm so dirty Lord, I'm sitting here in the mud,
You said,"  Take my hand, I'll wash you clean and give you new clothes."
I looked into your hands and I saw a hole.  I asked you about the hole in the palm of your hand and you told me that there were holes in your feet also.
I wondered why you were reaching to help me when you seemed to need so much help yourself.
You looked me in the eyes and told me that you did it all for me.
I looked at your hands, and your head, and your feet, and I burst into tears.
suddenly I began to feel relief like I had never felt before
I felt lighter, like a weight had been lifted from me
All the guilt was melting away
All the sorrow was disappearing
All the anger was gone
everything inside me felt new.
It felt as though I was being given another chance.  I felt as though I was going to have a new start with nothing holding me back.
I reached out for Your hands and You lifted me up.
My soul began to shout within me and my feet began to dance.
I was free!  I was free!
I felt forgiven in a way that I had never felt before.  I really WAS forgiven.  I had been forgiven by someone with the power to forgive and take all the pain and dirt away.  It was like being born again.
I fell on my knees and began to weep and to worship and to praise the one who had the power to forgive like that.  You told me that your name IS Jesus, and that You are the Christ.  You had come for me.  You had died for me. You rose again to sit on the right hand of God so that one day I could join you, no longer condemned to sin and death and eternal flame and torture.
I AM FREE!

Thank you Holy Father for sending your only son to save me from my sins.  I believe that He is your son and that He died on the cross for me.  I believe Jesus, that you rose again.  Please never leave me.  Please lead me, guide me, teach me and help me to be the person that you created me to be.  In Jesus name.  Amen

THE CALL

I hear your voice in the quiet stillness of the night.  I know you're calling me.
My heart starts to beat quickly,
A little taste of fear is in my mouth.
You're calling me into a new tomorrow
You're asking me to move my feet to this new path
My spirit jumps within me pushing me to say yes,
My soul is hesitant, holding back.  not for lack of love for you Lord, but fear of the unknown
As I think about it, actually, each new day is part of the unknown
But insecurity floods back in.  My spirit and my soul compete for comfort
I remind myself that my savior wasn't comfortable.  In fact He was tortured
Now all He asks of me is that I tell people why he was tortured.
All He asks of me is to point in the direction of his mercy
Now all He asks of me is that I open my mouth to tell about the secret love I have for Him,
Can I do it?  I think about Peter and Paul and I wonder how they did it.  It's much easier for me, I have no one chasing me, I'm not bringing the news of a virtual unknown,
Should I surrender?
Will I be able to do it?
Will I be able to give my everything?
But wait, When I cried out to you oh Lord, did you hesitate ?
Did you ever turn your back on me?
Did you pretend that I wasn't there when I was standing in the dark with my arms outstretched to you?
No, never.
You never left me alone.
I surrender.  I surrender.  I give you everything.  Use me as you will.  I am yours Lord.  I can only hope that I don't disappoint.  You are mine and I am yours.  I surrender.  Lead and I will follow.

(The call is real.  When you hear it.  Answer.  He will hold you up.  The work will be yours, but the words and the response is all Him and it is all His.  When He is lifted up, HE will draw men unto himself.)

Peace that Passes All Understanding

Trouble rushes around us like the swirling waves of an angry ocean,
but deep inside we have peace
Crime is rampant everywhere,
but deep inside we have peace
We hear the angry shouts of those who are lost, but we hear your voice saying, "Peace, be still".
The news is all about how terrible humans are.  No wonder we aren't behaving better
The children only hear news about the sins of the people shouting at them from their televisions, but deep inside they know...there is a better way...there is hope.
You speak to our souls when we are still, when we are asleep, when we lift up our heads to the heavens, there you are whispering into our souls - shhh Peace... be still.
You tell us that you are with us always.
We know that we are not alone.
Our fears are quieted.
Our souls rejoice as peace comes over us like a flood.
Our tears are drying as peace is coming like a blanket to cover us with it's welcoming warmth.
We realize that we don't need pills, or subliminal music.
We don't need any of the supplements that are sold over the airwaves
We just need you Lord
We just need you Father
Your word speaks to us and we find peace.
Your presence hovers over us Father and we find peace.
Thank you Lord.
We are in perfect peace.

Prayers for a loved one who is sick

Merciful Heavenly Father, I come before you in the mighty and miraculous name of Jesus Christ.  Lord we pray in His name because He told us to.  He said, "Before now you have asked nothing in my name, ask and you shall receive and your joy will be complete." John 16:24.  So we come before you Oh Lord our God in the name of Jesus.  Father we see that in Jesus ministry on earth, he healed all who wanted it.  Often he told the people that their own faith had made them well.  Sometimes He just laid his hands on people and they were healed.  I know that you are not a respecter of people.  You don't do something for one person but not for another, so I am now asking that you would heal my loved one.  Lord there are some things that are impossible with man, but they are possible with You, oh my God.  I ask that your Holy Spirit cover them from the top of their heads to the souls of their feet.  Father you didn't create us to be full of sickness and disease.  I know that your desire for us is health and healing.  Thank you God for wrapping your wings of healing around my family member and we joyfully await full healing in Jesus name.  Amen.
