Thank you Lord for waking me up this morning

Thank you Lord for waking me up this morning.  I've been looking forward to hearing from you again.  I love our talks and our quiet times.  You make my days go well.  I thank you that you go before me each morning and prepare the way for me.  I thank you that the car that wasn't paying attention and may have hit me, stopped just a little longer at the light.  Thank you that you changed the attitude of the person at work who was coming with a bad attitude.  I thank you most of all that I have a place to live, food to eat, a job where I can work.  Thank you for thinking of me even while I was sleeping.  I know that you never sleep, so you're always watching.  I bless you oh God and I praise your name.  As I go out the door, there's a smile on my face because I know that you are with me.  This day is already a great one for me because of you.  no one can turn it around.  I thank you father in Jesus name.  Amen.

Our everything

Heavenly Father, we praise your holy name.  Lord we bless you with all that we have within us.  You are our hope, oh God.  When we are confused by all that we see around us Lord, we close our eyes and raise our faces to the heavens from whence our help comes.  We know that our help comes from you, and somehow that simple truth makes our world better.  Slowly we open our eyes again and we remember that we walk by faith and not by sight.  Though many things  are going wrong around us, we will trust in you, oh God, to get us through.  Our troubles seemed large, but now they shrink as we realize that you have given us another day to work things out.  With you as our guide we will not fail.  Our hope is in you.  Our peace flows from within our souls and though craziness rages around us, we have found stillness in you.  We have found a light to guide our paths in you.  Thank you father for standing beside us and for choosing to be our....everything.   In Jesus name we pray.  Amen.

Greet Each New Day

My eyes greet each new day with the surety that You are there with me.  What a joy it is to serve you Lord.  What a blessing to know that you chose to love me.  I can now go forward with great expectation.  Your love is boundless.  Your love is timeless.  You fill me with such hope and joy that there are no words to express what I feel.  Please help each of us who are your children to represent you well today.  All glory and honor are yours oh Lord our God both now and forever more.

Joy in the morning

Lord I awake this morning full of hope and of joy.  I am so thankful that you have arisen before me.  I hear the birds of the air rejoicing as I rise to meet the day.  The trees are bowing before you as the gentle breeze caresses their branches.  The flowers open their petals as the first rays of sunshine touch and warm them.  Their fragrance wafts out to give you praise.  How beautiful is the world that you created for us Oh God.  How thankful I am that you placed me in it.  You could have done anything, but you chose to make the world wonderful for me.  Help me to walk in grace today oh Lord.  Help me to see beauty in everything around me.  Help me to be a positive influence at my job today and a voice of hope to those who are sad.  Your word gives me life my God.  Enable me to speak it to someone today so that they many know that life also.  May I bring words of refreshing so that rivers of living waters flow around me and saturate the atmosphere with your presence.  Then allow me to walk there in your glory.  In Jesus name I pray.  Amen.

A PRAYER FOR HEALING

Have you ever felt sick and tired, and your body wasn't cooperating with the plans you made for your day?  Here is a prayer - a conversation and a prayer for that situation.
CONVERSATION and rebuke to the body
What has happened to my body that I feel so out of sorts?  I have pain where there wasn't any before. My body is uncooperative and I feel that I'm giving in to it's torture.  I may have to stop what I'm doing and lie down.  Get up body!  Don't you know that the Word of God says you are the temple of the living God?  Our Lord and Savior said that our faith makes us well. You were created by the almighty God!
PRAYER
Oh Lord you came to heal the sick and broken hearted.  I now come before you in the name of our precious Lord and savior Jesus Christ.  Father, heal me.  Make my body come into the obedience of your word.  I know that it is your will that I am healed.  I know that you went about healing all those who were sick and possessed of the devil.  I know that  I can be made well.  My confession is that I am well even now.  Thank you Father for your love, your deliverance, your healing, In Jesus name.

When I am in Distress

When I am afraid, Lord God you are there.  When I am sitting on the edge, Oh Lord, you pull me back.  When I am in distress you remind me that you are my Father, my God in whom I trust.  I am wholly yours oh Lord.  I turn myself over to you.  I can't make the worry go away.  I can't chase the fear, but when I read your word I'm reminded that you alone are God.  I hear you saying that yes, there are "things that are impossible with man, but ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD".  In my sleep I hear you saying, "fear not, for behold I am with you, even to the ends of the earth."  I begin to be able to rest in you.  Your comfort is unending.  Gently flowing through my mind are your words, Trust me child.  'Trust in me with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding of things.  In all your ways acknowledge me, and I will direct your path'.  I begin to know the peace that passes all understanding.  I can take a deep breath and open my eyes.  Eyes which have been so tightly shut.  No longer as afraid.  how long will I be tormented my God by those who seek to destroy me? What have I done that would warrant such attacks?  I have no more strength within me.  I feel as though I'm just going to fall down.  "No weapon formed against you shall prosper" your word comes back to me as a dream.  Isaiah 54:17 "and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is from me, says the Lord".  Your word comes to comfort me even in my sleep.  It rises up from a well so deep inside me and just when I feel defeat crushing me beneath the rocks, your word rises up and carries me on the wings of eagles.  Thank you God.  I don't know how or when, but I feel that I will make it out of this trouble because You are on my side.
Psalm 56:10-13 then comes to me and says "Then my enemies will turn back in the day that I call.  This i know, that God is for me. In God whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid.  What can man do to me? Your vows are binding upon me Oh God.  I will give thanks to you.  for You have delivered my soul from death.  Indeed my feet from stumbling, so that I may walk before God in the light of the living."
Thank you for your word Oh God.  It refreshes me.  It comforts me.  It saves me.  I may stumble, but I will not fall for you are with me.  I love your gentle word.  Thank you for helping me stand.  In Jesus name I pray.  Amen.

A MORNING PRAYER

Heavenly Father we come before you this morning in order to give you praise.  You are the glory of our morning and the hope of our souls.  We thank you for the joy you give to us each day to start anew.  As the sun shines down upon us and the rain falls to give refreshing, Lord so are you to us each day.  When we are afraid, Oh God, you send comfort.  When we are tired oh Lord, you give us rest.  What would we do without you Oh Lord our God?  We stand steadfast and we cast our eyes upon the blue sky during the day and upon the stars at night for we know that you are with us.  There are signs all around us to remind us that we are your favored creations.  Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy.  We do nothing to earn it, yet we receive it bountifully from you.  I am in love!  my heart sings with joy.  The joy that you have placed deep inside me.  The joy that rises up to defeat sorrow and weariness.  You oh Lord are the fount of my joy the hope of my tomorrow.  I love you Lord, my God and my creator, my redeemer and my eternal flame.  My heart inside me shouts with joy because I am yours and You, oh Lord, are mine!
     Father you are the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end.  You are our God and our salvation.  You are He in whom we trust.  We love you Father and thank you for the unending and limitless love that you give to us.       Amen
