Heavenly Father please keep your people in the palm of your righteous right hand.  Cover us with the shield of faith. Enlighten us with your glory. Feed us with your Word. Lead us with your rod and your staff.  Guide us with your loving kindness.  Comfort us with your love.  Help us to be examples of You father, so that others may know who you truly are.  Help us to be a blessing wherever we go, and most of all at this time of tragic flooding, help the people of Houston and surrounding areas to survive and to be examples of unity, love and cooperation to the world. Bless those who are running to their aid and give them strength as they work to bring comfort and safetyc to the people who are in need. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Behold the lamb of God

Behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! The reference to Jesus as THE lamb of God is found about 29 times. The symbols which could be associated with a lamb taking away sin and allowing for restoration to God began 2000 years before Christ was born. The lamb was recognized as a sacrifice which saved people from eternal punishment. John 1:29 Behold the lamb.   Peter 1:18-19  Redeemed by the blood.   Revelations 5:12-14  All heaven worshipped the lamb.  Revelations 21:27.  Only the Lamb is worthy to hold the book of life. Thank you Lord for your sacrifice.  We are not worthy,  but we are eternally grateful and we ask forgiveness for our sins as we accept you as our Lord and Savior. In Jesus name. Amen

Healthcare and healing

Today we pray for all your people that they would be well and remain in good health. Lord teach us how to live so that health is freely ours. Help us to believe with all our hearts that we can and will be healed, healthy and whole.  Build our faith so that we know your will for our lives. You didn't create us to be vessels that hold sickness and disease. Your Word says we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Lord, please Move on the hearts and minds of our congressmen and women, and on our justices, and on our leaders so that they will make sure that we all have lifetime premium healthcare like they do. You said that you hold the heart of the king in the palm of your hands Lord, so please cause our leaders to support and defend those people who have pre-existing health conditions so that they may always have affordable health care. May we rise up to defend the rights of those who are weak and in need.  Matthew 8 says you took on our illnesses and carried off our diseases.  Isaiah declares that by Your stripes we are healed.  We stand on your Word, Lord, and we thank you for health and healing.😊 in Jesus name. Amen

Lord fill my friends' day with perfect peace. Fill their hearts with hope. Fill their eyes with things of beauty. Fill their day with promise. May they feel your presence and know that you are near to them,  watching them, comforting them, holding them, and smiling so brilliantly that their beings are warmed and filled with love.  This I pray in Jesus name. Amen

A light on Good Friday

God doesn't care about what we have.  He cares about who we are.
On this Good Friday we dedicate ourselves to you, oh Lord.  Help us to be  people you will be proud of. Help us to pray, to worship, to visit the sick, to feed the hungry,  to clothe the naked, to comfort the sorrowful, to be patient, kind and caring.  Help our lights to shine like the noonday sun. Help us to build our faith and to carry the cross of Christ with us wherever we go. What we have means nothing..but who we are can change lives . Who we are is everything.  We are the children of the light. We thank you Lord for living in us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Putting others first

Heavenly Father, your Word tells us that we make your joy complete by thinking of other people as more important than ourselves.  Philippians 2:2-4. "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interest of the others." Lord we ask today that you would have our leaders: Congress,  the president,  mayors, governors, councilmen and women to consider us. We pray together that they would be one group for the people.  We work hard to pay their salaries and to give them premium life time healthcare. We don't think it's too much that we should ALL be able to afford to go to a  good doctor or hospital and that our good doctors can get paid. Please have our leaders follow your Word and consider us. You said where ever two or more agree   in touching it shall be done. We agree, Lord. Please reveal their hearts and deeds and cause them to return to their jobs of being FOR the people.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Giving Thanks

Today oh Lord we give thanks and praise for all that we have. We remember your goodness when we lay our heads down on a bed that is inside a building.  We lift you up and give thanks when we lift our food to our mouths. We are thankful when we put on clothing oh God. We take nothing for granted.  We give thanks for your presence in our lives. We praise you oh God for the opportunity to experience love, grace and mercy. You are Jehovah Jireh,  the God who is our provider.

In Thee Oh Lord do i put my trust

In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. .  Psalm 31:1
Our hearts became dirty, oh Lord, and you made them clean.  Our mouths became filthy rags and you taught us how to speak.  Our eyes began to lust, and you held us at bay, then you gave us insight that we might behold the beauty of your son Jesus the Christ.  Our hands moved to do vile things, and you game them your work to do.  You give us mercy when we do not deserve it. You give us an ear to hear when we need to talk.  You give us comfort when we are broken and oppressed.  You give us victory when we cannot stand.  It is by your hand and your word that we even exist at all.  Help us to remember today that even though we are filthy rags, worms that crawl in the dust, vile creatures whose sins you should not look upon, that in mercy you came to us.  Even when we could not come to you, You came to us.  You sought us out.  We could never earn the love that you have so freely given.  Help us to be worthy of even a small bit of your love.  You call us to rise up and to be all that you are desirous of us to be.  With your banner of victory you raise us.  With your love you sustain us.  Help us oh Lord to be worthy of your love and grace.  Help us o Lord to be worthy of such a good Lord and master, of such a God a you. In Jesus name we pray.  Lord I ask for strength, courage and a blessing of prosperity for all who are your children as we walk in the path you have set before us.  Let us walk with eyes wide open, knowing that you are our victory banner. We never walk alone. In the mighty and miraculous name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Created in beauty

O Lord, how exalted is your name above the heavens and the earth!  You alone are worthy of all honor, glory and praise. You are the alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.  It was only you who created the heavens and the earth.  Only you, Lord decided to create us. Lord, you created us in your image. For our transgressions we are forgiven again and again. We are fed by your hand and clothed in your beauty. We are allowed to have wisdom,  knowledge,  insight and interpretation of words, things and events because you see fit.  With these gifts we are able to grow in knowledge, to stand in strength, to walk in peace and to understand the depth and importance of Your Word.  We lift up our hearts to you, oh Lord. We bless your Holy name.  We give thanks to you Oh God. You are our hope,  our strength, our light and our life.  Please keep us from the plans of evil men. Help us to bring peace and joy wherever we go. May we stand in your grace forever.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Prayer to get closer to God

Prayer for nearness to God

Heavenly Father, please lean in so that we can see you.  Breathe on us so that we can feel your presence.  Fill our hearts with joy so that we know you are near.  You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.  You are our strength and our fortress.  You are He in whom we can trust.  You have no race, no color, no political affiliation.  You don’t want to “Make a deal” with us, or trick us into doing your bidding.  You only ask that we love you and listen to you because you are a good and loving father.  You have even sacrificed your only son Jesus Christ so that the doors in heaven to forgiveness and redemption would be opened to us.  Jesus is the only one who holds the key to that door.  (Revelations 5:4-9).  We thank you for your love and patience.  We thank you that you have given us peace and joy to sustain us in difficult times.  May we always be in your shadow to receive your blessing and protection.  May we stand with our ears, our eyes, and our hearts open to receive your Word. Blessed be the Lamb of God forever and ever!  In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank you for showering us with your love each and every day. Thank you for guiding us through the sometimes scary, sometimes  frustrating maze of our day. You are the Almighty and to you we give our praise.  We are so thankful for the way you comfort us when we are nervous. We are thankful that you keep us company when we feel so alone. You give us hope and encouragement in the midst of our struggles, and you tell us which way to turn so that we can avoid disaster.  You do all that without fanfare and sometimes we don't recognize that you are working on our behalf until we see the end result. We thank you that you have made us your priority, because we know that you didn't have to. You are God. The first and the last. You are eternal and all powerful, yet you care what we do with our lives.  Help us to make you proud of us in all we do. Help us to follow your rules and to relax in your presence and trust in you. Thank you Lord that we are never alone. In Jesus name. Amen

Be uplifted

Heavenly Father, today we pray for our friends and family members and for all of your children who are suffering in one way or another. Lord, we ask that you would touch them with your healing hands and bring them peace, good health, joy, prosperity, blessed relationships, and faith to believe. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Peace like a river

Find a quiet space for your body, your heart and your mind. Listen to the still silent air around you. Inhale deeply and receive God's peace. Hear His voice as it gently, softly wafts through your soul like a healing breeze. It whispers to you as it joins your spirit.  He Comforts you as only the holt Spirit can.  He Surrounds you, putting out your anxiety like water to a fire.  He fills you with a peace that passes all understanding.  He Covers you the way a soft snuggly blanket covers a baby as it goes to sleep.   Your fears fade.  Hope begins to push through the cobwebs and the darkness that had started to fill your mind.  A new awareness of His presence in your life fills the space around you that had earlier felt like a void.  No person could give you this peace.   You are free. He is with you. You are not alone. Rejoice! Be blessed. 🙏🏾 ☝🏽

Pray for the country

Heavenly Father, your word tells us to pray for our leaders. 1 Timothy 2:1-3. Please keep them under your watchful eye.  Help them to make good decisions and to work selflessly on behalf of the people of this country.  Please help them to stop name calling,  finger pointing, blaming, and avoiding the truth.  Father we pray that you would protect us from our enemies and keep us out of the hands of those who don't have our best interest  at heart.  Lord if the Russian leader had any plans that were, or are not for our good, please reveal it to the world and have it be rectified. We are a free sovereign nation, not perfect by any means Father, but we have no desire to be controlled or manipulated by any government  whose plans are not to better our country.  Help us Lord to feed the hungry,  clothe the naked, provide shelter for the homeless and protect the innocent and helpless. Help us to abide by your laws and to walk in your way.  This we ask in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer for the people

Heavenly Father, this morning we pray for children who are abandoned,  women who are abused, families who are separated, fathers who are looking for jobs, every man and woman serving in the military, the elderly who feel abandoned,  hearts that are broken and even pets that are unwanted.  Father cover them with your love like a blanket on a bed. Offer them hope, lead them to people who will help them, speak to them in ways that let them know that you are with them, and be an answer to their prayers, not a genie in a bottle,  but a loving God and creator.  You are our savior.  Help us to be your hands and feet, your arms and legs, your heart and voice to those who are in need. Help us to be a part of the solution.  May we even help abandoned animals in any way that we can. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
They will know we are Christians by our love.

For our nation

Heavenly Father, we, your people who are called by your name, are humbling ourselves in prayer.  Please hear our prayers and heal our land. Cover your people with peace. Protect us from angry retribution. Help our leaders to work together for the benefit of our people and not just for themselves. Give
us leaders who are filled with wisdom and knowledge and  who are able to do your will.  Your word says you hold the heart of the king in your hand, so Lord please cause world leaders to seek compromise, peace, cooperation and reconciliation with one another.  Please Bless this country and your people, in Jesus name. Amen

Pastors Resources Daily Prayer for the Nation - Carrie Dedrick

We must pray for our new leader and our country as a whole.Crosswalk.com contributing writer Debbie McDaniel wroter this beautiful and powerful prayer for Inauguration Day. May you ponder these words in your heart as you pray for renewed hope in our country:
Dear God, we’re aware, more than ever, that our times are in your hands. We need your Presence and your power to be displayed in our nation. We need your unity and your love to stir our hearts and give direction to our days. We need your wisdom to guide us, we need your Spirit to lead us, to live out godly lives that would bring honor first to you.
We pray for all those in authority, for every leader of our nation, that you would give them your wisdom and discernment as they lead. We pray that their hearts would be directed first to you, that they would recognize where their true help and strength come from. We ask that you would guard their coming and going, that you would be their refuge and their peace. We pray that you would surround every leader with wise counsel, that they would be humble and kind, patient and loving through their actions and words. We pray that their faith in you would be unwavering, strong, resolute, and firm.
We pray for your protection as one nation under God. We ask that you would surround this country and cover us with your Mighty hand. We pray for unity in our land, that in spite of our differences, we would be willing to stand strong together and live out our days with compassion and grace. We ask that no weapon formed against us will prosper, and that you would thwart the attacks of the enemy hurled our way.
We pray for your great healing on our land. Shine your face on us dear Lord. Give us courage to go into all the world and take the message of the Gospel of peace. We need you now, more than ever before. Our times are in your hands.
Wake us up Lord! Remind us to live aware, to redeem the time, listen to your words, and be willing to make a difference in this land. Give us courage to speak out. Help us not to stay silent but to do all things through your wisdom and love. In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

That name

SOMETHING ABOUT THE NAME JESUS 😌 ☝🏽
It is the sweetest name I know.
